Poor me! (You will not agree, but I'll whine anyway)

Okay, you'll probably say "oh, poor Diane" with your voice dripping with sarcasm when you read this next entry, but believe me, I am tired.

One thing being involved with an all-volunteer magazine like New York Tails has done to me is force me to go out. By nature, I'm actually kind of shy and like to stay in the background of things. But since the magazine, I often find myself at a lot of great events with fantastic people. More than I ever could have possibly envisioned in my wildest dreams. (Me standing next to movie and music stars, wanting to talk to me and be interviewed for our little magazine?)

So, briefly yesterday:
--I interviewed someone for a serious developing story on electrocutions of dogs walking on city sidewalks (afternoon)
--Got ready and did a final "flight check" of what I needed to do as a part co-host of a Stray From the Heart fundraiser
--Ran to SFTH fundraiser (we had guests like the great Roberta Flack, Prince Lorenzo Borghese of "The Bachelor", Maria Milito of Q104.3 (ltop DJ at one of the last rock stations left in NYC) and Jackie and 'Benjamin', who are on the cover of our current issue (the beautiful redhead and the Bassett Hound you see on our cover)
--Ran out of that fundraiser (dragging my longsuffering photographer with me with all of her gear on her back) to another fundraiser at another townhouse (!) for Animal Care and Control which had dignitaries like Glenn Close, Ben Afflac, Bernadette Peters (we got there late and missed them, unfortunately, but got some great shots of some fantastic people who are extremely generous to the AC&C)
--Ran back to the original fundraiser I was co-hosting...etc...etc...

And the jackhammer woke me up at 6:30am sharp today right under my window--aye yi yi!
